Mission Statement:

To provide a safe, harassement free environment for students, staff and visitors by providing personalized professional law enforcement services along with an array of law enforcement related resources.

Information:

As your police school liaison officer(PSLO), I am assigned to SPASH full-time.  My office is located in the north commons area of the school where I can be contacted throughout the school day.  My duties as a PSLO reach far beyond typical law enforcement functions such as issuing citations and making arrests.  While these duties are a basic function of the PSLO position, officers assigned at the school are able to provide an array of law enforcement resources including: Classroom presentations, law enforcement career resources, drug testing kits to parents for students, and other general law enforcement related subjects.

Portage County Crime Stoppers offers a program called "Quick $50" where you can be paid $50 for providing information regarding weapons, alchohol or drugs at SPASH.

 Mission Statement:

To work in close collaboration with school administrators, Police Liaison, teachers and support personnel to ensure that school district policy and rules governing the security and safety of the learning environment, student behavior, compounds, buildings and property are followed.

Our main focus is to assure a safe, appropriate and nurturing learning environment in line with the expectations of the school district on all security and safety issues and concerns.
