Madison Mustang PBIS

What is PBIS?

PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports.  PBIS encourages positive behavior choices in the classroom, at recess, in the hallways, and in other school areas.  For more information about PBIS, check out the national PBIS website link in the Useful Links section.

What is happening with PBIS at Madison Elementary School?

We have a PBIS Committee that meets frequently to discuss data, progress, and incentives.

We will be starting a PBIS Club soon to help encourage positive things at Madison.

We have a horseshoe program to reward positive choices classes are making in and outside of the classroom.

Students displaying excellent Mustang behavior are rewarded with red Mustang slips.  These can then be redeemed for the chance to win prizes like School Store rewards and the opportunity to play knee hockey with Mr. Bancker!

We have had several assemblies to watch PBIS films (starring our very own Madison students!), celebrate positives happening at Madison.  Our most recent assembly was a Madison Mustang Rodeo with themed relays and other activities.  Each student had the opportunity to participate in one of the games and were reminded that when we make good choices, we can have more fun together!
